The Art of War is a Chinese military classic by Sun Zi. Written more than 2,3oo years ago a lot of the tactical information rings true today in battle, in business and in life.
Ok, so I cheated a little. I am not an academic and my attention span is – oh yeah, pint please mate. I obtained this condensed version to make it sink in a little easier….and there are cartoon pictures! It is spread over thirteen chapters, with each one being relevant and sounding like your very own Mr Miyagi.
When reading this, I recognised a certain tactician in myself in the way I approach things and gained knowledge of what now appears to be completely obvious life guidance but without the book would never thought of it. At 125 pages, it will take you hours to read but years to understand it. Buy it, read it and try to sound intelligent.
‘War is full of deceptions. The capable must pretend to be incapable.’
